Each Pheasant hunt takes place on a game bird reserve just north of Jonesboro. The reserve is clean, managed and maintained with bird preservation in mind. Since pheasants are not native to Arkansas these birds are brought in from out of state and not raised in pens. They perform well and are not as easily harvested as one may think. "Im not going to suffer the humiliation of having to kick a bird to make it fly." Customer satisfaction is what keeps hunters coming back and builds reputation. "These birds are the real deal."
Rooster Ridge Kennels houses some of the hardest working and most well mannered bird dogs around. They are a pleasure to watch work. Each hunt comes complete with guide, pointing dog, bird processing and after hunt refreshments. Most all of those who have visited the reserve agree that it is one of the most exciting and fulfilling experiences to date.
Got a bird hunting dog you would like to bring? Not a problem. Our dogs work well with other dogs. Rooster Ridge encourages sportsmen to work with their dogs when ever possible.
